Critical Success Factors:        

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, technical teams) to design new user experiences and interfaces that re-imagine the way mortgage applications are processed and managed.

•Own the presentation layer of our digital landscape working with teams across the business to implement award-winning user experiences and interfaces.

•Work with digital agencies, product managers, engineers and end-users to define software product functionality and translate specs into wireframes, designs and functional prototypes.

•Create wireframes for review with Product Concept Team

•Create visual designs and graphic assets for the Product Development Team

•Provide input on user stories to ensure software developers understand the business case and build optimal features

•Present ideas and features to internal and external users to collect feedback and adjust designs as necessary.

•Work with product management and engineering to improve usability and consistency across all

•software products

•Work with the marketing team to help develop collateral and digital assets to support product launch and marketing

•Develop reusable assets and style guides to ensure a uniform look and feel across all software products.

 

Purpose of the role:

•Never maintain the status quo, disrupt and innovate

•A key member of the Product function making a significant contribution to the business objectives and conversion rates

•To champion all elements of UX design to drive profitable growth of the business through delivering simple consumer interfaces

•Regular reporting to relevant stakeholders

•Ensure that all activities and processes within the journey are compliant with FCA (including TCF), DMD, CCA and all other relevant legislative regulations

 

Skills & Experience:

(Includes sector and functional experience, technical skills, soft skills)

•Designing and building user interfaces and experiences in a consumer-facing environment from concepts through to deployment

•Experience creating wireframes, designs, storyboards, user flows and process flows

•Exceptional visual design skills while prioritizing optimal user-system interaction

•Naturally organized, able to work autonomously, with the ability to quickly reprioritize projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

•Proven track record of working with engineering and product teams for design and product coordination.

•Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

 

Preferred Skills & Experience:

•Skilled at delivering high fidelity visual assets using graphic and web design tools

•(Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator)

•Skilled at creating site maps or workflows and wireframes (e.g., using Axure, Balsamiq,

•Invision, Omnigraffle, Sketch or similar tool)

•Experience working with HTML5 / CSS3

•Proficiency working with JavaScript (should this be a nice to have)

•Experience with Agile Methodologies (e.g. Kanban)

•Experience of working in ‘lean’ & ‘rapid prototyping environments

•Creative

•An eye for detail

•Innovation and solutions-driven

•Ability to manage relationships and partnerships
