Health & Safety Advisor

Our clients have established long-standing relationships with clients such as The Berkeley Group, Vistry Homes, Bellway & Bewley Homes. They have continued to expand and now consider themselves to be a major business within the construction industry.

Due to the maternity leave, they are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to complement their existing Team.

The Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for advising and supporting all safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters to ensure the company and its contractors comply with statutory requirements and any associated company policies or procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure contractors are complying with our clients Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders at all levels on HSE matters.
  • Undertake weekly site inspections, site visits and completion of reports.
  • Attend site Health and Safety meetings
  • Production of Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Update company policies when required.
  • Review contractor’s method statements, risk assessments
  • Assist or undertake accident and incident investigations as requested.
  • To always portray a professional image throughout the course of your duties


Candidates must cover the following criteria:

  • Minimum of Certificate level in Health and Safety, i.e., NEBOSH, NCRQ or equivalent.
  • Proven background within site based HSE for Construction
  • Current detailed knowledge of HSE legislation and site construction activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible approach and willingness to complete tasks outside of normal role scope, as requested
  • Knowledge and experience of CDM.
