Residential Conveyancing Compliance Lawyer

A new role has become available for a suitably experienced Residential Conveyancing Compliance Lawyer to join our clients. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the individual will be a highly experienced, technical residential conveyancer or will have experience of dealing with compliance in a residential conveyancing firm. This is a new position that has been created due to exceptional company growth. As a CLC licenced firm,  our client adheres to rigorous standards. You’ll form part of a busy compliance team assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure that the highest levels of compliance are maintained at all times!

About the role

 Ensuring ongoing compliance with current regulations and CLC requirements

 Dealing with PI insurance notifications and claims

 Complaint handling

 Monitoring the Compliance Inbox

 Assisting with risk and compliance-related queries and escalations from all departments

 Ad hoc problem solving

 Involvement in complex ongoing transactions

 Assisting with aged/complex WIP with the Registrations Team

 Assisting with lender panel management and protecting panel status

 Identifying new and emerging areas of risk

 Identifying changes and improvements to systems and procedures as a result of claims, complaints, audits and risk reviews

 Assist with mentoring and training junior members of the team About You:

 Demonstrable technical ability as a residential conveyancer

 Experience in dealing with complex conveyancing transactions

 Capable of managing a varied workload whilst adhering to deadlines

 Ability to balance risk-based decisions with commercial awareness

 Experience in complaint handling

 Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills

 Understands process-driven working methods

 Experience of workflow-based case management systems Benefits
